Whether we are dentists or dental hygienists, we experience on a daily basis inflammation with possible associated bone loss around dental implants. And as practitioners, we are bewildered as to the “correct” approach from managing implant mucositis to peri-implantitis.
The objective of this CE webinar is to present a cookbook to recognize implant disease and prevent loss of implants with innovative chairside techniques to reverse implant mucositis. For peri implantitis, we show success via minimally invasive protocols with progressive technology. And for our patients, user friendly oral hygiene practices are described, so patients can utilize tools and medicaments to maintain the life of their respective implants.
Learning Objectives: • Enhance diagnostic and differentiation skills for implantitis versus mucositis • Create innovative at home oral hygiene systems that enhance compliance • Incorporate techniques for at-the-chair anti-inflammatory Biofilm control with innovative technology, such as air medicinal delivery and dental lasers • Describe low impact surgical techniques for decontamination
